Key to Diagram

  1. Dark almond shaped, deep set eye. Slight stop between eyes.

  2. Skull broad with narrow appearance, nearly flat.

  3. Ears neat and pointed, fine textured.

  4. Back short and level topline - short coupled.

  5. Well laid sloping shoulder.

  6. Tail, moderate length - thick at root. Set on with upright carriage or with slight bend.

  7. Hindquarters - strong and powerful. Big wide buttocks.

  8. Well bent hocks, turned neither in or out.

  9. Feet well arched, turning neither in or out.

  10. Two coats; outer harsh and wiry, straight, weather resisting; undercoat soft and dense.

  11. Well rounded ribs flatten to a deep chest.

  12. Short, straight forelegs - pads thick and strong, well arched.

  13. Body slung between legs - chest fairly broad.

  14. Medium length muscular neck.

  15. Cheek bones flat.

  16. Teeth large - upper incisors overlapping lower.

  17. Muzzle strong.

  18. Head long for size of dog.
