Championship Show

Saturday July 2nd Judge: Miss E J Bradley (Brueik)

Best in Show

Standard Poodle - Sharon Pine-Haynes Ch Vicmars Rave On

Scottish Terrier - Gail Dixon's Chatterdale Diablo

Sharing the Kennel Club Building at Stoneleigh with the Standard Poodle Club for our 2011 Championship Show was a great success; both clubs held their show outdoors with ample room for each breed. The Poodle Club held their show car park side of the venue and Scottish Terriers were on the opposite side.

Miss Liz Bradley (Brueik) was our judge for the day; there was a raffle table, a gate raffle of a bottle of Scotch, STECS had a colourful stall enabling people to purchase Scottie items, plus Valerie Shovlin displaying her paintings of Pet Portraits.  Royal Canin kindly sponsored the show with Dog Food and ring numbers. The caterers were the same as last year, with a good selection of food available at reasonable prices.

Lunch time the members voted for the 2014 Championship Judge, Mrs Carol Annan was elected; members were able to collect their 2011 Year Book with all other Year Books now posted.

The camp site this year included Caravans, Motorhomes and a two man Tent, after the show an enjoyable evening was had by all the campers. Next year our Championship Show will be on 30th June and the judge will be Mrs Alison Kenny (Millingford), we look forward to meeting you all again.

 Til Tovey.

2010 Championship Show
Saturday 3rd July - Judge: Mr W Moore McCloskey (Miclimac)

OUR NEW VENUE

TRAFFIC STEWARDS (Lol Worthington - left & John Marriott - right)

With the weather being hot and sunny, the show was held indoors at the Kennel Club Building, this made it more comfortable for the dogs. The hall was spacious with purpose built flooring, allowing for a large ring where the dogs could move and stride out freely. We overcame a few problems with this being a new venue for our club, the caterer we had booked went sick 3 days before the show, but with a little bit of luck, we were able to engage the caterer’s on site at Stoneleigh Park to help us out, the food was of a very good standard and at reasonable prices.

There were overseas exhibitors and visitors from Australia, Denmark, France and Spain, majority had travelled from The World Show in Denmark to Windsor Championship Show then onto our show, this was very nice to see them all, hoping they will come again next year, our judge for 2011 will be Miss Liz Bradley (Brueik). There was a good raffle table, a gate raffle of a luxury dog bed, STECS had a good and colourful stall enabling people to purchase Scottie items, and Royal Canin kindly sponsored the show with Dog Food and ring numbers.

The 2010 Year Book was launched and collected by members in attendance at the show; all other Year Books have now been posted out to members. The vote for the Championship Judge 2013 taken by the members at lunch time was won by Mrs Cindy Pettersson of Sweden (So What). After the show a few exhibitors staying on the campsite within the park, got together and enjoyed a BBQ.

The rain, however, did not dampen spirits as a happy atmosphere prevailed around a crowded ringside. Receiving her crowning CC and Reserve Best in Show was John & Susan Gaskell's Mayson Zanadu. Best Puppy came from Minor Puppy Dog and was Gail Dixon's Chatterdale Diablo.
