Scottish Terrier Breed Council Judges List Applications
Please return applications by:
28th October 2022

To obtain or return an application form, please contact the secretary of The Breed Council:

Miss Lauren Broom
Telephone: 07585949873
email: evingbriar@outlook.com

Please ensure you meet the Breed Council Criteria prior to applying.
Note that as of 1 January 2021 anyone wishing to judge must meet the JEP Level 1 requirements set out by The Kennel Club

The Breed Council acts as a link between the Breed Club’s and the Kennel Club in all matters related to the Scottish Terrier. Any issues raised by a Breed Club can be forwarded to the Breed Council who subsequently contacts all the Breed Clubs where any issues can be discussed at Committee Meetings. The results are then forwarded to the Breed Council and ultimately the Kennel Club.

The AGM is held annually at The National Terrier Club Championship Show in Stafford.  Each Club are eligible to send two delegates to the AGM. The delegates at the AGM are there to express the views or votes as necessary for their respective Clubs. The AGM is open to all those who are paid up members of any of the Breed Clubs who themselves are fully paid up members of the Breed Council.

The JCF  was reviewed a fews years ago and is now know as the JEP (Judges Education Programme). This is for the future training of judges.  Those wishing to advance in judging the breed should contact the BEC's (Breed Education Co-ordinator).

In the future all Breed Club’s, Breed Council & BEC’s will co-ordinate future activities so that we can be pro-active in maintaining a high standard of judges for the Scottish Terrier. Further details and information on the JEP can be found on the Kennel Club Website.
